This wool felt beret is made in N. America by a manufacturer who supplies berets for the American military (Green Berets)as well as for the Royal Air Force of Great Britain. There are two unique design elements on this beret: 1: The semi-circle cardboard insert. This enables the wearer to create a sharp angle on the beret, as well as the spot to display your emblem or pin. 2: The leather binding (edge) envelopes a nylon web band that ends in a bow, this is used to size the beret. This style beret was worn in battle by Viscount Montgomery, the hero of El Alamein.
