The Black Yankees made their home in perhaps the most interesting park in all of the league. An ugly, rickety 1,000 seat stadium on the grounds of the Catholic Protectory, a home for delinquent boys.
Although every top black team visited the stadium, the games received little publicity from the New York Press.
The Black Yankees were partly owned by the one and only legendary tap dancer and performer, Bill "Mr. Bojangles" Robinson.
