The Bollman spoon hat became popular in the 1870's featuring a shallow, spoon shape crown and a wide brim. Small hats and bonnets were in style because of the large twist hairstyles.

Bollman's chestnut brown 1870's Spoon Hat features a fabric flower ornament and a velvet hatband along with an underwlet wide brim and comfortable satin lining.
