If you are unhappy with your VillageHatShop.com order, we are happy to accept a return or exchange within 30 days of its receipt of a new and unworn hat this does not include the shipping cost. Also customers are responsible for paying the shipping to return the item to our facility. International customers are responsible for all shipping charges in regards to an exchange or return. If there is an issue such as a defect or damaged item please contact us at 1-888-VHS-HATS before sending any item back. As a courtesy to shoppers during Christmas, we extend our return policy during the months of December and January. You can submit a return by clicking here.

Shopping is made easy at the Village Hat Shop. First select shop for hats or shop by brand, then select the category or brand name of the hats you wish to browse. To request a larger image or more information on the product you can click on the image or the product title.

  • To add an item: from a product page, select the options and click the Add to Cart button.
  • Review and Edit Selections: You may review and edit your orders directly from the cart with the "Product Options" pull down menus.
  • To resume shopping: Simply click the Add to Cart button to return to the previous page.
  • To change the quantity: Once a product is added to the cart simply update the "Quantity" field in the cart and click Recalculate
  • To remove an item: enter "0" in the item "Quantity." field and click the Recalculate button.
  • Select your shipping options: To select your form of shipping click the desired shipping option from the options presented. Type the shipping postal code -where you want the hats to be delivered. If your shipping address is different from your billing address, check the box at the bottom of the shopping cart page labeled (Use a separate shipping address).
  • Select your payment method: Use the "Select Payment Type" pull down menu to select the form of payment you wish to use.
  • Complete the checkout process: Press continue to go to our secure form to enter in your personal information.
  • CVV2 Number: Include your Credit card Verification Value -This is the 3 number value usually located on the back of your card. Click Here for an example.

You may order by fax 24 hours a day. Fill out the order form on the shopping cart and print your order for your records, and fax the order to 1-619-683-5535. Be careful not to click Submit Order. You may also write your name, email address, phone number, address, and credit card information on a piece of paper, with the hats that you wish to purchase, and fax it to us. Be certain to include your credit card number, expiration date, and signature.

Customers who wish to order by check or money order may do so by mailing a print out of our order form from the website. You may also write your name, phone number, address, items you wish to purchase, (please include shipping) on a piece of paper and your personal check (ALLOW 12 BUSINESS DAYS FOR A PERSONAL CHECK TO CLEAR BEFORE WE SHIP YOUR ORDER) or money order and mail to:

Every effort is made to ship your hat within 48 hours of receipt Monday thru Friday, pending availability (we generally ship even faster). You'll be notified if merchandise is currently unavailable and when we expect to be able to ship.

Please note that items ordered together may ship separately from different locations. You must include a complete street address in order to use Expedited Services (3 Day, 2 Day, or Next Day Service - Expedited Services are not available for PO Boxes). PO Box and APO/FPO addresses will be sent via USPS Priority Mail when possible.

Note: Keep in mind that these are estimated shipping times. Domestic (US) Residential Delivery time make take upwards of 5-7 days (excluding Sunday and Monday). US commercial deliveries are made Monday through Friday.

If time is a factor, please select an expedited shipping option in order to receive your hats sooner.

Expedited Shipping Requests: (Next Day, Second Day, and Three Day Services)


[Example: A hat is ordered on a Wednesday morning. The customer chooses two-day shipping service. The hat ships on Thursday. Two FedEx/business days - with no delivery on Saturday and Sunday - means that the hat arrives on Monday.] All overnighted orders that ship on a given work day, will be received the following work day anytime until the end of the day. If you need morning delivery you will have to call for special arrangements.

Alaska / Hawaii (Expedited Shipping)

FedEx does not provide Three-Day Service to Hawaii and Alaska. If you'd like to use expedited shipping to these locations, please select USA 2 Day Service.

If a single hat is ordered with an expedited shipping option (Next day, 2nd Day or 3 Day) and we are unable to ship the hat immediately due to availability, the backordered hat will be shipped out with FedEx and USPS ground service upon it's arrival and you will be charged accordingly.

If multiple hats are ordered with an expedited shipping option (next-day, second-day, or three-day), and we are unable to ship the order complete, the back ordered hats will be shipped free of charge via regular ground when they arrive.

Note: We require PayPal payment only for any shipment going to a Freight Forwarding company. We will not accept any other form of payment.

The cost of shipping hats around the world is ever increasing. We are committed to investigating new options and/or negotiating rates in order to give our customers the best price. At this point, little more can be done to lower rates (but we will keep trying). We know that the following sounds self-serving, but it is nonetheless true and may help: For shipments outside of the USA, we suggest that you consider buying more than a single hat. In doing so, you are assured to lower the shipping cost per hat.

A challenging part of our mission is to realize the promise of the Internet by connecting with our web site visitors from all over the globe. We, as merchants, will be able to communicate with, sell, and ship our hats to customers virtually anywhere. This is where the world, via the Internet, is heading but we are not there yet. One problem is the cost, reliability, and scope of service vis-à-vis shipping. Another is credit card fraud. In an effort to bridge these problems and pioneer this new frontier, we offer the following:

  1. This is the shipping and insurance charge that you will be assessed for your purchase. As you can see, the variables are simply your destination and the U.S dollar cost of your purchase. These shipping/insurance figures represent our best efforts to take a complex set of factors and find "happy median" prices so that shopping at VillageHatShop.com will be simple and fast. We will ship via the United States Postal Servce (USPS) International.

    Note: If you order more than one item and we are backordered on part of your order, we cannot afford to make multiple shipments for one shipping charge. You will have the option of waiting until we can ship your complete order or being assessed an international shipping charge for each part of your order that you wish shipped. We will ship within 48 hours (excluding Saturday and Sunday) of receipt of your order and picture identification.

  2. Most banks outside of the USA will not guarantee the transaction for USA merchants. We ask that you either attach to an email or fax us a picture identification along with your order. This can be a passport, driver's license, student identification, etc. We don't want or need a passport or driver's license number - so cover this number - only confirmation that the name, the picture, and the address go together. For some orders we will require a faxed signature approving the use of your credit card. This includes orders that are shipped to the USA, but purchased via a credit card issued from a bank outside of the USA. We have numerous facilities that we fulfill orders from. There may be up to a one-week delay in the shipping of multiple-hat orders internationally. Because of the high cost of shipping internationally, unlike domestic orders, it will be necessary for us to first accumulate all the products in one facility before shipping the goods. If time is of the essence, you may request that we ship hats separately, but the customer will then be responsible for an additional shipping cost.

Taxes and duty

Please understand that we do not know the laws in every country regarding taxes and duty for each and every kind of hat material that we sell. It is the responsibility of the customer to pay such duty and taxes (if applicable). You may want to research this before placing an order.

We offer PayPal as a payment option for our International Customers. However, we are now requiring that certain countries remit payment via PayPal only. We can no longer accept credit card payment from these countries and selected countries with larger orders. If your country is on this list we will email you at the time you place the order.

For any shipment going to a Freight Forwarding company - we will not accept any form of payment other than PAYPAL.

If you do not see the item, size, or color you have been searching for, please e-mail or call us. We may have it in stock, or we will try to get it for you. Special order items and personalized items are not returnable.

All large quantity orders that are returned are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Wholesale/B2B purchases are final sales and not refundable. Special orders and embroidered apparel are final sales and are not refundable.

You must be completely satisfied with your order. If not, we will gladly refund your money or replace any item ordered by Internet, mail or phone within 30 days of delivery. Personalized items are not returnable.

After you have "Submitted Your Order", you will be given your "Order Confirmation"'. Print your order confirmation and save it for your records.

A Copy of your order confirmation will also be emailed to you. We will personally send you an e-mail to let you know the status of your order, and when you can expect shipment.
