Buying a hat is simple.  Walk into any drug store or supermarket and pick up a cheap hat, as an impulse purchase, from the disorganized  hat tree at the end of the shampoo or orange juice isle.

However, buying a hat that is just not any hat is another matter.  We’ve being buying (and selling) hats for over thirty years (Village Hat Shop opened May 2, 1980).  Understandably, we have learned how to identify quality.  Distinguishing ourselves by finding and buying finer hats – a quest for the best – is a natural progression of a growing and engaged merchant.

We travel the world in pursuit of fine hats.  If you are a customer who appreciates wearing something of great quality, who understands how wearing a fine hat can literally change your mood for the better, welcome.
