The big 3-inch brim and leather trim is what distinguishes this hat as an Aussie (think Snowy River). It's a great value in that it is crushable, packable, and water resistant. Take it out of a suitcase, shake and shape, and it's ready to wear. The brim provides good protection from the elements. The crown is 4 1/2".
