Since we received the sample for this hat a few months ago, the buzz around the office has been building. Is the public ready for a hat this cool? Could the brim be any stingier (1 3/4")? The answer is no - not without diminishing the substance of the hat. Could the crown be any lower (3 3/4")? Not a chance - it is perfect. Can a hat get cooler than this? Impossible.
The awesome houndstooth is a mixture of brown, black and beige.
I took that sample for myself and have been wearing it around the streets of OB (Ocean Beach, San Diego) where I live. In my 14 years as a hatter, I have never had such consistently positive feedback on any of the hundreds of hats I own and wear around the neighborhood. Surfers, hipsters, old-timers - all of them want one of their own. The hat combines the classic styling of the 50's and 60's (I can see both Sinatra and Desmond Dekker falling in love with this hat) yet seems unmistakably new and fresh. This is the hat of the year.
3 3/4" Crown.
1 3/4" Brim.
1" Hatband.
Made of: 100% Polyester.
Cotton sweatband.
Fully lined in satin and includes the very cool Jaxon logo at the tip.
