Honoring Kingston, Jamaica with a hat of it's own has been on my mind for many years. The home of Studio 1 records, Trojan Records, Island, Tuff Gong and birthplace of Desmond Dekker, Derrick Morgan, Stranger Cole, Alton Ellis not to mention Bob, Peter, Bunny, Toots, Jimmy and on and on and on. The city has given us so much that it demanded a hat. We chose to hearken back to an earlier more innocent time in the musical development of the city when designing the Jaxon Kingston. We hope if any of the ska or rock steady giants of that era come across this page, they'll feel compelled to ante up and start getting rude.
Loosely woven of a lightweight durable straw, the Kinston has a bound edge and 1 1/2" brown bow. The crown is 4" and the brim is a stingy 1 7/8".
