In this day and age, there are still mom and pop hat manufacturing operations in the world. A small village in Ecuador's Andes is well known for its hat making. While traveling the world for hats, we found this husband and wife team. In their very small work space, hats are blocked by hand by pop and trims, sweatbands, and hand finishing is done my mom. In between these two operations, hats dry outside in front of their work space on the village's main street. If we are The Village Hat Shop, these folks are really The Village Hat Maker.
