The Red Hat Society, if you don't already know, is a grass roots organization that is taking the United States and Canada by storm.
The Red Hat Society gets its name from a woman who dared to wear a "funky" Red Hat and a Purple Dress in public after reading a poem entitled "Warning" which celebrates the aging process.
The only requirement to be a member of the Red Hat Society is that you wear a Purple Dress and a Red Hat when you and your fellow Red Hatters go out.
Our Sacramento store manager, Viki, is a member of a local Sacramento chapter of the Red Hat Society. Of course, anyone interested in buying a red hat is invited to shop and buy (no membership required).
