Every good hat deserves protection, and western hat "cans" serve to do just that. When I'm not wearing my hats (some 300X beaver hats cost close to one thousand dollars!), I protect them from dust, light, a stray mouse, etc. by locking them up in a sturdy plastic hat box. Inside the box is a device that you adjust to fit your hat. It allows the hat to "float" without the edges touching the bottom of the box, thus keeping the shape and integrity of the hat design lasting longer. This device is plastic and adjustable. My hat can arrived from VillageHatShop with this plastic hat holder device broken. It apparently came off during shipping. It's cheap, and for that reason I gave this particular product only two stars. I'd recommend you buy the product elsewhere for $57 knowing other manufacturers make a more solid and dependable plastic hat box for western hats. You should also look for hat cans with latches that allow a small lock to be used! They have "lock loops" built in. |
