I realize color varies in photos and monitors, but the picture clearly shows the felt color being significantly lighter than the hatband color. On mine, the felt is almost the same color as the hatband. The hatband color looks about the same as it does in the photo.
I particularly wanted the lighter color to better show the interesting punch pattern on the sides. On the one I received, the pattern doesn't show nearly as well as in the photo.
Fortunately the recipient won't know the color I was aiming for so maybe he will like it anyway.
Last, not the fault of the hat, but I had selected this hat partly because I thought the punch pattern would create "vents" that might make it a tad cooler for the wearer, but I forgot to take into account the hat is fully lined, so it probably won't be any cooler.
I'm taking off the one star for the color being wrong, otherwise I think this is a great looking and good quality hat.
