I ordered this hat in gray for my wedding. First of all, the color that arrived was a bit darker than what I expected, and it was absolutely GORGEOUS. It was a much more complex color, with hints of brown/purple?... hard to describe. Unfortunately, based on some other reviews I had decided to go with a smaller size (I fall between 2 sizes) and it proved to be too small. Reluctantly I decided to exchange it for a size bigger. I was pressed for time plus I hated to risk getting a different color. However, when I called, the woman on the other end of the phone couldn't have been more personable or helpful. She got my number, went into the warehouse and hand picked my new hat, checking that it was the darker gray and called me back to confirm. Also, because I wouldn't have much time to train the brim, she steamed and shaped it for me before shipping; it arrived shaped perfectly! My experience is that the sizing is possibly a bit smaller than other manufactures. With other hats, a 7 1/8 is just a tad loose on me, but this one fits perfectly. The quality is beautiful. I don't own any high-dollar hats, but I tried on a few looking for my wedding hat, and this one compares so well that I can't justify spending double the money (or more) for another brand. |
