I bought it for sun protection (and possibly light rain) in preparation for my first vacation trip to Hawaii. I wore it constantly while there.
Extremely comfortable, sizing was absolutely perfect.
The straps, used as directed, helped to save the hat on several occasions from being lost due to a gust of wind.
