| I was looking for a straw sun hat with a wide rigid brim, not one of those floppy hats that collapse. I inquired about this hat and received a prompt response that yes indeed this particular straw is very stiff and holds its shape. I went ahead and ordered and could not be more pleased, its exactly what I was looking for. I wanted the hat to fit a little loose around my head and not leave a dent in my hair, so I ordered the next size up and its just perfect. The black hat band is actually just a piece of elastic so you can slip it off and replace it with a ribbon of your own choosing. All that said, this is a large hat--the full brim is as wide as my shoulders. I got a few wisecracks about my "Royal Wedding look" but you know what? I'll be the one laughing when I look 20 years younger than my friends because I protected myself from the sun :-) | ||||
