| I wore this Wolseley style pith helmet when I hiked across the Grand Canyon rim-to-rim in 2009. The hat provided adequate protection from sun glare, it fit comfortably the entire 10-hour hike, and it was so light-weight that I almost forgot I was wearing a hat! Sure, I attracted a few curious sidelong glances, but the performance and functionality of the Wolseley pith helmet in a "real world" hiking situation more than made up for any concerns I may have had over appearing "eccentric." When I head back to the American southwest, hopefully for another canyon crossing, I'll be wearing my Wolseley! | ||||
