I got this hat planning to use it as a summer hat, but I don't think I'll be able to pull that off after all. The fabric is stiffer and heavier than I expected with absolutely no "breathe" to it at all. In the sun it quickly gets quite warm inside. So I'll need to get a second summer weight hat, but I like this one so much that I won't be returning it.
It has a small brim, probably about as small as I can get away with (I have a fairly round face; YMMV) and wears "tall" across the crown. It also has a more modern look to the design instead of a classic "retro" feel. It's dressier than I expected, too. Not a t-shirt and flip-flops type of hat.
All in all I'm quite happy with it and expect to get a lot of happy wear out of it... it's just not quite what I expected when I ordered it.
