The venting keeps my head cool in spite of the Southwest desert sun, and the hat is easy to hand wash whenever it gets sweated up.
I have always worn my caps out, so I have always felt that I got good value for my money when replacing them.
My only complaint is that the manufacturer took too long to replace the black caps when Village Hat Shop ran out.
I am considering buying a different style of ivy cap from Jaxon in the near future.
