| I wore mine down to the desert and it was great through the crush of camping. Definitely great for personal shade and pretty snazzy with a scarf tied round it. However, after awhile you need to wash it. Once it loses its sizing it droops in your face and then you must replace it. I haven't figured out how to wash and starch it to keep it as nice as it was new. So then I buy another...in a new color. | ||||

| I recently was on a vacation/visit to Florida to see my Mom. The first week was cool and rainy..the second HOT, HOT, HOT and perfect for the pool. On the way out I grabbed this pretty light yellow hat from her hat rack...Within the first 5 minutes at the pool...I'd FALLEN in LOVE with this Scala Lanikai hat! I've ALWAYS had a difficult time keeping a hat on due to discomfort, inadequacy of the product, or just couldn't PACK that Panama Straw hat without it getting ruined. I even took a picture of the inside label before I left for home so I wouldn't forget, and could order one. I LOVE THIS SCALA HAT! The draw string fit is genius! | I had purchased this Scala sunhat a few years back, on a visit to California. I've been very happy with it: it's comfortable, durable and attractive, and, most importantly, offers good sun protection. I brought with me on a work assignment to France, and friends here admired it greatly. So I purchased a few more as gifts, and they were delighted. It's a comfortable hat, and the adjustable band makes it an all-around travel companion. Good for the beach and for city use. | ||||

| I purchased a Scala Lanikai Sunhat over a year ago. I have very sensitive skin and it was a necessity to find a hat to protect my face. The Scala hat is a wonderful! I hate wearing hats! But, the sunhat it is so light and has great air circulation. My family couldn't believe how much I like it. They tried it on and loved it. I just purchased several hats for my family and another for me. I highly recommend the Scala Lanikai Sunhat. | ||||

| I bought this hat to replace a very similar Scala hat that I lost. I loved the other hat and was hoping to replace it with same item, which was ivory with black trim, but it was no longer available. The Lanikai Sunhat is very close, but not quite the same. I like the addition of the drawstring; it will keep the hat on your head even in a very strong wind. The only drawback is that it gave me a headache and a dent in my forehead. My other hat just happened to fit perfectly w/out a drawstring and I miss it, but the Lanikai is the best I could find to replace it. I use it for gardening, hiking and going to the pool with my kids. It offers excellent sun protection. Adding UPF fabric would make it even better. If it is like the other, you can wash it and get it wet in the pool and it will still look great! | ||||

My mother bought this hat at a department store and has worn it every day for a year. She has a history of skin cancer and chose this model for its wide brim and substantial fabric to protect her face. She also loves the adjustable cord inside. I just ordered her another one in a different color and she was thrilled since she'd been unable to find it in the stores locally. It's been her favorite hat ever, and she's had a lot of hats over the years. VillageHatShop.com has a great selection and great service. Highly recommend this hat and this web site. |

| I own such a hat and bought one for my mother. They wear very well and stay nice after being in my suitcase. I wore mine in Costa Rica and several vacations after that. They really keep the sun out of my eyes and go with every outfit | ||||

| I purchased my first Scala hat on vacation at the Outerbanks and received many compliments. It's adjustable band is great, necessary for those windy days! I even pleased my hairdresser when she spotted me protecting my color while at the neighborhood pool club! I then purchased two more here for a trip to Disney. One more for me and one for my sister-in-law! | ||||
