| After gentle handwashing, reshaping and air drying this hat won't have its original smooth finish but still will look fine at the beach, in the pool, gardening, etc. I wear it everywhere I'll be perspiring in the sun and do get stains as a result. On my white one, I pretreat with Oxy-Clean before handwashing. This style is my choice for function rather than looking perfect. | ||||

| Saw this hat in an airport, and bought five of them...one for me and one each for four friends. We have all enjoyed them, and now I am on my third color. They are so comfortable, even in the south's humidity, that I wear it all day. | ||||

| I love this Scala Lanakai Sunhat. I took two on a safari this November. I had a cord tie attached to the sides to one and while we were in the jeep and moving, I had on the one hat. Around the camps I had the other one on. They wash beautifully, holds shape, fold it, do anything you want to it. I actually think it looks good on everyone that's tried it on. I get so many compliments on it. I will be ordering more colors for the summer. | ||||

| I love this hat! I have 3: pink, mint, and white! It folds up in my suitcase perfectly. I love the way it looks on me and the fact that it keeps the sun off my face. | ||||

| I got 2 different colors of this hat for my vacation to Kauai, Hawaii. Love the hats. They were comfortable, stylish, great at the beach on a boat or shopping in town. They dried quickly after a sprinkle (which happens alot on Kauai). My main goal for wearing a hat was to keep the harsh sun off my face and this hat did a great job. | ||||

I wore my first Lanikai until it was worn out! It fits great, looks great and has just the right size brim. People always ask where I bought it. I just ordered 2 more. They pack very nicely. |

| I needed a new sun hat, so did a Google search for Scala hats (I bought one at the Chicago Botanic Garden a few years ago and loved it). When I found this one, I couldn't decide on a color, so I ordered two--and then a third! It fits me very well with the inner drawstring tightened just slightly, and really does provide excellent protection from the sun. I'm barely over 5' tall, so can't wear a very large-brimmed hat, but this one is just right. | ||||

| I purchased my first Scala hat on vacation at the Outerbanks and received many compliments. It's adjustable band is great, necessary for those windy days! I even pleased my hairdresser when she spotted me protecting my color while at the neighborhood pool club! I then purchased two more here for a trip to Disney. One more for me and one for my sister-in-law! | ||||

| I bought this hat to replace a very similar Scala hat that I lost. I loved the other hat and was hoping to replace it with same item, which was ivory with black trim, but it was no longer available. The Lanikai Sunhat is very close, but not quite the same. I like the addition of the drawstring; it will keep the hat on your head even in a very strong wind. The only drawback is that it gave me a headache and a dent in my forehead. My other hat just happened to fit perfectly w/out a drawstring and I miss it, but the Lanikai is the best I could find to replace it. I use it for gardening, hiking and going to the pool with my kids. It offers excellent sun protection. Adding UPF fabric would make it even better. If it is like the other, you can wash it and get it wet in the pool and it will still look great! | ||||

This is the greatest hat. I bought 6 of them in different colors. I wear them everyday all day. Only problem is not being able to throw them into the washing machine! |
