| got the walnut color for our spring break holiday in florida! i have a fairly large head and it not only fits well, but the band tie helped keep it from blowing away with the strong gulf breezes. the hat is very flattering and i was happily able to rearrange the brim to suit my whims for different looks or sun coverage. i definitely will be ordering more of these hats in other colors. | ||||

| I needed a new sun hat, so did a Google search for Scala hats (I bought one at the Chicago Botanic Garden a few years ago and loved it). When I found this one, I couldn't decide on a color, so I ordered two--and then a third! It fits me very well with the inner drawstring tightened just slightly, and really does provide excellent protection from the sun. I'm barely over 5' tall, so can't wear a very large-brimmed hat, but this one is just right. | ||||

| I recently was on a vacation/visit to Florida to see my Mom. The first week was cool and rainy..the second HOT, HOT, HOT and perfect for the pool. On the way out I grabbed this pretty light yellow hat from her hat rack...Within the first 5 minutes at the pool...I'd FALLEN in LOVE with this Scala Lanikai hat! I've ALWAYS had a difficult time keeping a hat on due to discomfort, inadequacy of the product, or just couldn't PACK that Panama Straw hat without it getting ruined. I even took a picture of the inside label before I left for home so I wouldn't forget, and could order one. I LOVE THIS SCALA HAT! The draw string fit is genius! My mother bought this hat at a department store and has worn it every day for a year. She has a history of skin cancer and chose this model for its wide brim and substantial fabric to protect her face. She also loves the adjustable cord inside. I just ordered her another one in a different color and she was thrilled since she'd been unable to find it in the stores locally. It's been her favorite hat ever, and she's had a lot of hats over the years. VillageHatShop.com has a great selection and great service. Highly recommend this hat and this web site. |

| Hats come and hats go but I'll always have a Lanikai! I love the wide brim, packability and style. My Lanikai have been backpacking in the mountains, walking the dog in the neighborhood, out to breakfast, lunch and dinner and on cruises. Every friend that has seen me wearing this hat has ordered one (or more) for themselves. I've four colors and will probably add more to my collection. | ||||

I fell in love with this hat in yellow, wear it constantly here in San Diego. It's comfortable, stays on without neck strain, springs back into shape easily, stays clean, keeps my head cool. The hat fulfills its function of protecting my face and neck from the sun. The kettle brim allows me to see well. (Some sun hats block off sight.) I'm sorry it can't be washed, but it doesn't seem dirty despite almost daily wear for the past two or three months. I hope you keep this style in stock as I'm sure I will want to purchase it again. People constantly compliment me on the hat, so it keeps me in an atmosphere of smiles. |
