This is a very cute hat. Depending on your face shape, it may look better worn with your hair up or down. For me, wearing it with hair down caused it to "flatten" my face. Didn't really become me well. Then I tried it with the hair up and it looked fabulous! Proportions this way were perfect and very flattering. Funny how one detail makes all the difference with hats! I keep having this lesson proven to me with hat purchases through the years. Another thing of which to be aware: the hat decoration: i.e. cherries, leaves, ribbon, lace appear to have been glued on rather than sewn - as is done with the more costly hats. But then, this hat is very inexpensive, so that is to be expected. The hat comes with an elastic band to hold it in place. I wear it at an angle with hair up and it provides a chic look. Sometimes I also attach black netting, covering only my eyes, with bobby pins underneath . This "softens' the look and creates an air of flirtatious mystery. A fun hat! |
