I live in Texas and have to be outside from time to time in 100 degree heat for my work. I bought this hat for sun protection as well as cooling. The hat arrived in perfect condition on the day it was promised. The hat has an elastic band that accommodates a range of hat sizes. The elastic band is tight enough to keep the hat secure, but pliant enough to be very comfortable. There are time I come inside and forget to take it off. I bought fabric hat sizers with the hat. These are sticky-backed fabric strips which protect the hat from perspiration. At about $2.50 each, they last a few weeks and then you just install a new one. I would highly recommend these. The hat looks great, provides shade down to about my chin, makes me feel about 10 degrees cooler, and keeps the perspiration off my face when I'm in the sun. Good value - great hat - lots of compliments! |
