| The hat is a good value, and fine if leaving on. But if you remove it often by the brim, it loosens up a lot. This makes the brim wavy and the crown bow. Good for a show, but not a long term investment. | ||||

| For the price, this is really a nice straw Skimmer hat! The only caveat I would relate is that the brim is, I believe, 3 inches or so. It has more of a gondolier look than most of the stingy brimmed boater hats you usually see in photos from the 30's. If you're looking for something like that...you might be disappointed with the size of the brim. Otherwise, it's a great value for the price! Village Hat Shop ALWAYS has excellent customer service and ships quickly! | ||||

| I ordered this hat for my husband for a Hollywood '40s party. At another site I had seen the same hat (but with Italian straw) for about $125... Fortunately, I found this site and was thrilled to find it was such a bargain. And, the quality is there too; there can't be any difference between this hat and the expensive version. Also, I needed it quickly and the customer service was superb. My husband was very pleased and got great reviews at the party. He is looking for an opportunity to wear it again next summer. | ||||

| I ordered this hat for the Gatsby Afternoon event in Oakland, CA. Boaters usually run 40-50 dollars, so I was surprised with the quality when it arrived. It worked out really well and I saw quite a few with the same hatband and pattern at the event, so I am sure I am not the only satisfied customer. It held up great and I will probably wear it next year. A great bargain! | ||||
