This was my 3rd such hat of this style. My last one was a Stetson Panama also, and I assumed that I was getting the same hat. I was really disappointed. This was made in Mexico and my last one, even though it was the same brand was made in Ecuador. Both say "genuine Panama" however this one made in Mexico is nowhere near as fine. The weave is not as even nor as tight. It just does not look as classy. It also does not fit as well although it might fit fine if I broke it in, but I am returning it to try to get one more like my old one. I guess Stetson is not what it used to be.

I wore this hat this year to the French Open (2010) and although they sold Panama hats at the matches, none came close to mine. I will do business with you again because my hat looks a lot more expensive than it was.

I chose this hat for a gift. I don't think I realized when ordering that it was a Stetson, as in "STETSON", but was pleasantly surprised to find that to be the case. The Stetson quality was definitely there and it made a wonderful gift. I had asked the spouse for the size. She looked at other hats and chose Ex-lg...I think that the large would have been better. This hat does not run small...but the recipient was thrilled so I am thrilled, as well! Thanks for a great hat at a fantastic price.

Needed better sun protection than the baseball cap I've relied on for decades. Found Village Hat Shop online--what a great selection! Even in a metro area as big as Chicago, I would have had to visit a dozen stores to view the range of styles, makers and price ranges at Village Hat Shop. My Stetson Retro Fedora Panama is just what I pictured when I started shopping. Delivery was prompt and packing was perfect.

If you don't want just any old straw hat but the REAL DEAL Panama, but you're not exactly a member of the country club this is most likely (probably anyway) THE best quality panama hat you can afford. That being said, I think this is a marvelous hat. I purchased mine from a different site but it was the same hat. I love the way I look, I've even gotten compliments. An elderly woman told me it reminded her of the days when every good man had himself a good straw hat in the summer. Not to mention, for me it has that real tropical feel to it. As a final bonus the rear of the brim can be flipped up or down so you can style anyway you want.

i got this hat for christmas and it is quite a nice.have it in closet right now awaiting warmer weather but looks and fits fine. i have a felt fedora i use in winter[made by stetson also]that i have had for years.never had a problem with stetsons products.will be back again when the wear out.

This is my second panama fedora I have owned, and they've both been first rate. Hold up well, good shade, breathable. Wore my first one until it died (7 years) and expect this one to last the same.
