| Works for me (5/5) | Jan 9, 2008 | Art | Avon ct US | |
| Bought this hat last year and I've rolled it up and stuffed it in my suitcase a couple of times. If you moisten it a bit and work the straw a little then let it dry in the sun it comes back pretty much. My wife has a Helen Kaminski packable in raffia straw that cost like four times as much and it too takes some work to get it back in shape. I like The Pantropic hat. It's a good value and I bought it to keep the sun off my face and neck. I think over the years it'll just develop more character. | ||||
| Pantropic Panama Roll Up Hiker (5/5) | Sep 2, 2009 | Todd Cole | Cleveland NM US | |
| My old panama hat served me for 5 years. It was misshapen from sweat, rain and other abuse. It was really a close friend, but my wife inadvertently gave it to my visiting grandson. I replaced it with your great hiker and it is already stylishly doing its job. It should become as good a friend an my old one. | ||||
| Crushable? (4/5) | Dec 15, 2007 | Jeanne Biggerstaff | Newberg OR US | |
| I have owned 2 of this style. The first was, sadly, ruined in an unexpected downpour. It never regained it's original shape. This a great hat. The only thing I have not been pleased with is the "crushable" feature. The hat creases when rolled or folded and the creases remain when unfolded. Maybe I am not folding/rolling it properly - no instructions were included with the hat. Other than that, I love this hat! | ||||
