I love this hat already. Usually it takes time for a hat to grow on you. The fit and feel of this particular hat gives pleasure each and every time you put it on. Whether worn to a social event, shopping, bad weather or every day, this hat draws compliments from the most surprising number of people. It sheds water like a duck and you really can roll it up and stick it in an overcoat pocket. Then after a few pats with your hand, restore the original shape. Wow! Thanks for a really good experience. |

| The hat is a Borsalino, that speaks for itself. The brim could stand to be a bit wider and though the size was indicated as a 7 3/8", I had to have to sized as it was only a 7 1/8" upon delivery. If you want the real thing, the fact that it will perform for many years, makes this well worth the cost. | ||||

| This is my fourth Borsalino that I've purchased over the years and they are the best. I always get compliments and wear this one now for every day use, rain or shine. | ||||

| Borsalino hats have such panache and this one has it in spades. The color is pure alchemy: A dark sage green (think dried sage herb), in some lighting sage grey; in other rich sage brown, but the green always lingers. The suede band is way cool and the Borsalino pin is the crowning touch. Its simple elegance is pure style, like a beautiful woman in draped silk. Definitely made with passion, tradition and care. | ||||

A great hat. I really hesitated before ordering this hat. I didn't want to spend so much for an unlined fedora, but I finally gave in to curiosity. The Crushable Safari is lightweight and beautifully made. I did need to exchange my usual 7 3/8 for a 7 1/2, but the folks at Village Hat Shop handled the swap well. I'm really enjoying it now. |

| My new travelling buddy. Great hat shape and colour, flexible lining feels a little cheap but i'm sure it folds up better than leather. I see the beginning of a beautiful friendship. | ||||

| A true "crusher" can easily be packed and springs right back to life. Brim doesn't really have much stiffness though, so can have a slightly floppy look. Also, crown is just slightly shorter than my other Borsalino's, which may-or may not-make it easier to blow off one's head... As far as being water-resistant-this hat really does keep your head dry in torrential rains (I wore it constantly for three days in and out of some pretty-good downpours). After it dries shows no sign of stains or unusual wear. Very comfortable-with a cloth headband-that does not "shrink" as leather probably would. My hat was blown off my head in some gusty winds (would have happened with any hat without a chin-strap) and unfortunately sat in puddles of water on two or three occasions. Still--no problem-the hat didn't shrink and looks like new. (I think in a wool hat I'd want to go up an eighth or quarter in size to prevent shrinkage (ask the experts at Village Hat Shop to be sure). Overall this hat feels great-and makes for a good walking hat. I'd give it 5 stars if the brim was a little stiffer and the crown a little higher. Maybe a bit pricey for a crusher, but then again, it's a Borsalino, and feels like a million dollars! I love the sage green-it's kind of like an off brown-moss. This will be my new "walking around hat". I love it! | ||||

I do love this hat. It is true with a little more brim and more higher crown would be 6 star. Lightweight, cool looks, back to shape after packed it for travel or in your pocket. I do recommend it. |
