I bought the crushable wool version and this one. I found the cheaper version was not very good, so I reccomend you to buy the fur felt, if you want a good Indy hat. As I said for the wool felt review: This is a good hat The service is superbe and the shipping faster than light It's a good replica of Indy's fedora BUT While the wool felt version is too elastic and this makes it impossible to reshape the hat, this version is way too stiff, and this makes it difficult to reshape the hat, too. Yes, because the shape needs some modifications. The pinch should be tighter, and the brim is too flat. A note about the photo: the ribbon appears to be black (as it should be), but it is, in reality, a purplish brown! I hade some problems with the hat size. I have a 58 cm head, so I needed a Large Size. But, while the wool felt version fit very well, the fur felt one occurs to be a bit too large. Anyway, I solved the problem by inserting some linen stripes inside the sweatband. Final judgement: if I weren't a purist, I wouldn't have noticed all these details. So, if you are not searching the Grail, BUY THE HAT: IT'S WORTH IT. I may be fussbudgety, but...c'mon, for 100 bucks it is a great deal. |

| It's a nice hat. It fits great, and is very comfortable. But I wish I had known before hand that it was made in China. | ||||
| Beautiful Hat, But... (3/5) | Jul 25, 2010 | Scott | CA | |

Let me say right off that I do think the Indiana Jones Fur Felt is a very nice hat, and I have received a fair amount of compliments on it, however, there are a few cons that prevent me from giving it a higher rating. First and foremost, I would have prefered a sized hat instead of S/M/L as my head sits on the edge of small and medium and I have found that S/M/L hats vary drastically in their sizing. I ended up ordering a small which is slightly too tight, although I am sure a medium would have been far too large. Secondly, although I did appreciate the pre-shaping of the hat, I find it to be a bit too rigid for my tastes. Lastly, despite the fact that this is the "officially licenced replica" of the famous Fedora, it is quite different from the hat featured in the movies (rigid construction, lighter colour, different crown). I must reiterate that I do like the hat, I just can't rate it any higher than three stars. That said, the service from VHS was top-notch as always. Hats off to the fine ladies and gentlemen at VHS. |

| Indy Hat. (3/5) | Feb 1, 2011 | Rick Rossi | Exeter RI US | |
| I ordered the fur felt fedora hat assuming it would look like the advertised picture. It does not. The hat band is the same color as the hat, therefore it might as well not be there. It should be a darker brown then the hat. I am not satisfied, now i'm going to have to find the right color ribbon and make the hat band myself. If you are planning to order this hat because you just want something to wear, then go right ahead. Its a comfortable head cover at least. If your planning on ordering this hat because your a fan of the Indiana Jones movies, and you want it to look like the hat he wore, don't. I guess they'll license anything these days. | ||||
| Comfortable out of the box (4/5) | Dec 28, 2007 | TEJ | Columbia SC US | |

I wear a 7 1/8 and the Medium fit me well. The hat is not as stiff as another fur hat I got recently (in an "outback" style) made by Stetson. This one has more "give" to it, so it conforms to my head better and felt comfortable out of the box. The upper crown seems fairly stiff, so it should keep it's shape well. I may give it a higher rating later, but I just got it yesterday and need more time to see how it holds up. My wife loved the look. She wasn't taken by the more western style of other hats I have and liked the narrower brim on this one. |

Great product, and Village Hat Shop has always given oustanding customer service and great pricing. Thanks much. Only thing I'd like to see is a crushable felt version of this hat...I've never found one. Thanks for the product and the service! |

| Sizing Off (4/5) | Dec 31, 2007 | Anonymous | ||

I wear a true 7 & 3/4 hat and can wear a 7 & 7/8 size; a 7 & 5/8 is too small for me. I ordered an XXL in this hat which was supposed to be a 7 & 3/4, but is more like an 8 & 1/8. I ordered the crushable wool version at the same time and the sizing on it was a perfect 7 & 3/4" |

| Nice Hat, Although Really Only If You're a Hat Person (4/5) | Mar 18, 2008 | Steve the Duck | Garanje Au US | |

Personally, I have to say that I really like this hat. It's comfortable, made of good material, and rather snazzy. However, the whole "look at me" design might be reserved for someone who is normally seen wearing hats in the first place, or for someone who is a bit more outgoing than most. Additionally, with the movie coming up, people accusing you of being a poser may be more common than if you just bought a beret or a pageboy cap. This all aside, I would recommend this hat. The price is worth it, and the hat'll give you good protection from the shade as well as a nice accessory for nights on the town and such. |

I gave the hat I ordered to my husband for Christmas. He was extatic. The only problem is that in the picture it appears that the hat turns up on the side brim. The hat we received is perfectly flat. Is this the same hat I ordered? Or is there a way we can get the sides to turn up? Thank you for your service. |
