| Great Hat (5/5) | Dec 28, 2007 | Timothy Rusco | Riverside Ca US | |
|
I bought this hat while getting ready for a trip back to the First Flight Centennial event (Dec. 2003). I had seen it advertised elsewhere, but it wasn't available when I needed it. I did a search, and found the Village Hat Shop ... with the same hat, top brand, for less than the other places, and in stock! One of my best finds ever. Over 3 hours of standing in a moderate rain, with temperatures in the upper 30s, and this hat kept my head dry and warm. (Mine has a small wooden slider on the chin strap, which worked fine for me; perhaps it wouldn't hold under a heavy wind, though.) |

| awesome HAT (5/5) | Mar 9, 2008 | brent whitmore | frisco tx | |

DORFMAN is awesome. I've owned this hat for over 15 years and it still is good looking. The earflaps are a real plus, esp when it is COLD. I've used it during skiing and with the strap it stays on even in wild winds. I did perform a MOD where I bought a spring loaded cylinder at a camping store, which completed its only weakness. I"ve purchased a dressier hat band to replace the one piece cord that it comes with to add a more sharp look. ALSO it is NOT that hot in summer as it is light felt. |

| I have been looking for a hat like this ever since I saw a college football coach wearing a similar hat with earflaps on the sidelines of a game. Good fit, good looks and with the flaps in Chicago during the winter , excellent! Just what I wanted. Thanks to da wife & da Village Hat Shop. | ||||

Well, here in Montana there's a great need for a stylish hat that keeps yer topper warm and covers the ears and back of the neck. This hat delivers! I ordered it for my husband's birthday. The hat was on backorder, but I was willing to wait, and the communication with the Village Hat Shop was open and friendly. The hat arrived yesterday, after several weeks' wait, and it was worth it! My husband is very pleased, it fits great, and looks wonderful on my handsome guy! Beautiful hat! I may have to order one for myself ;~D |

| Great looking hat and a good price (5/5) | Jan 14, 2010 | John | ||
| Ordering was easy and shipping was quick, in time for Christmas. It is a sharp looking hat that has drawn several compliments. The Black version has a black leather chin strap that can be used or put behind the crown. Earflaps are very nice to have available for winter. Bonus was the set of hat sizing strips that were sent along with the hat at no extra cost. It could make the difference in a good fit for some people. | ||||

| I like it (5/5) | Oct 31, 2012 | Ken C | Pittsburgh Pe US | |
| This is my first hat from VHS and am well pleased. It fits well, the sizing chart was most helpful. Stands up great to weather, wore it in hurricane Sandy. The earflaps sold me on this model for use in the cold. | ||||

I've worn this style of hat for about 10 years. I bought the first two at the Alameda County Fair near San Francisco, CA. When I couldn't wait for the fair I found the Village Hat Shop. How wonderful! The only downside to this hat is there isn't an adjustable slide for the chin strap. It would be nice to be able to cinch the hat down by the strap so I can keep both hands in pockets! The ear flaps are an interesting addition! I've already had the chance to use them on my walk from the World Trade Center in NYC to my office near the New York Stock Exchange. |

| too small (3/5) | Feb 6, 2009 | Michael P. Frank | Los Angeles Ca US | |

I normally wear a size XL hat. This hat is tight and the volume of the crown is smaller than any other hat I own, including those from Dorfman Pacific. Also, in the picture, the black hat is shown with a brown leather band/chinstrap. On the hat I received it was black. (Not a defect, but not as shown) |
