I bought this from the store in Long Beach in August of 2010. Of my four fedoras, it's my most comfortable by far. My head measures 23", and the 7 3/8 fits perfectly. The felt is of medium weight, and very soft. The crown is stiffer than the brim, and has held it's shape well, even after being crunched a couple times and the occasional rain soaking. I've heard rumors of the color fading after getting wet even once, but I haven't witnessed that at all. This is a great hat if you want a nice black fedora. |

| I am a woman who loves hats and always wanted a nice fedora. I finally got one! This is a perfect profile and the quality is noticed in all aspects of the fit and look. Dress up or down, a nice pair of earrings and I am set for anything. | ||||

| This is a great looking hat and very functional. It's well made and made in the USA. I love the classic style of it. The grey color goes with many coats that I have but I may get the Sage as well. I remember with great fondness that my father and uncles used to wear hats like this. I wear this pride and recommend it to others. So far, it works very well in Colorado with all the sun we get even in the winter. | ||||

Looking for my first fedora, I knew I wanted a classic looking one and I was willing to spend more on one than a simple "department store" hat. This Chatham does not disappoint! It's style is perfect, I can imagine it would be the very kind Jimmy Stewart would remove when he entered a building. The quality is great and the hat feels very natural and comfortable on my head. As for villagehatshop, they were great to work with. My initial purchase arrived and, unfortunately, was too large. The exchange process was extremely simple and customer service communicated well with me every step of the way until the replacement hat arrived. They even offered to refund my money despite this hat being made to order. Initially I was skeptical about ordering an expensive hat online but I have no qualms about recommending this site to anyone. When I decide on a second fedora, I'll be ordering here. |

| Beautifully finished and very classy. It is my second Stetson sovereign fedora (the other being a whippet) and is a bit stiffer than the whippet. It cuts a nice low profile but the brim is a bit stiffer than I expected and will need to be broken in a bit. Short of shelling out the big dollars for a bear felt it is the way to go. | ||||
