| Got this once it was discontinued (40 bucks!). Not only did I get an amazing halloween costume out of it, I now have a cool, high-quality hat for life. And it's big enough for my head! With all these ragin'-awesome reviews, it probably won't be discontinued for long, but, be assured, this is a high quality hat. And it's funny that the review-writing box has a spellcheck. | ||||

When I saw the Jaxon Wool Felt Bowler marked down to $22 I saw no reason NOT to buy it. It lives up to my previous experience with Jaxon hats: superb quality at a reasonable cost. It didn't fit at first, much too round for my long oval head, and bowlers do not flex readily. I went to work with a Hat-Jack, without steaming, as I was afraid steam might ruin the necessary stiffness. After a couple weeks of patient work my bowler fits just right. |

| I am going to a renaissance wedding this coming June and I will be dressed as a French voyager and wearing the bowler. Tried every thing on and it does fit the time period. Will be interesting to see what kind of reactions I will receive. Good value for the price. | ||||

| I've had a problem buying hats in the past. Much like Iain Godsman down there, I've got a fairly large oval shaped head. No one, I repeat, NO ONE sells XXL hats in this style. Except for Village Hat Shop. The hat fits and looks great. I'll be buying another one when I inevitably wear this one out.. | ||||

I already sent in a review....but since you asked....i'll tell you how my hat is.......people should really try a bowler....its amazing the response you get from people....everybody loves the hat....wants to try it on....i cant believe you never see people wearing them.....the quality is great....fit and finish are outstanding....and its unique in this day and age.....dont ever stop selling them....i'll need another one when i wear this one out......thanks again |

I've been looking for a bowler for years. I have a large, long-oval shaped head (approx. size 7 7/8) and was never able to find one that came close to fitting. Dropped in to the Village Hat Shop at Seaport Village in San Diego, and there it was in XXL! Perfect. The staff stretched it out for my weird shaped melon and I was good to go. It's still a little stiff, but nothing a bit of breaking in won't fix. Love this hat! Thanks Village Hat Shop. |

| Love this hat, The opening memorable image is an intimate closeup of the blue staring eyes and smirking face of ebullient young punker Alex de Large, wearing a bowler hat and with one false eyelash adorning his right eye. His cufflinks and suspenders are ornamentally decorated with a bloody, ripped-out eyeball......... There was me, that is Alex, and my three droogs, that is Pete, Georgie, and Dim, and we sat in the Korova Milkbar trying to make up our rassoodocks what to do with the evening. The Korova milkbar sold milk-plus, milk plus vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom, which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence. | ||||
