I absolutely love this hat! I've gotten so many compliments from older gentlemen, most of whom remark that this hat reminds them of their youth when all men wore hats. Oh how I long for such days! What have we lost since then? Ladies compliment the hat too, saying that it's quite stylish (one even lamenting my married state, wishing she could find such a fashionable man, now THAT'S cause for endorsement!) It's a lovely, well-made hat, the only bit I don't like is that the ribbon is not actually tied into a bow. There are two pieces to the ribbon, the largest goes around most of the hat and has two ends both of which hide under the bow, which is a separate piece. When I put this hat on the first time, I actually busted the bits that hold the larger ribbon in place, destroying the illusion of a one-piece band around the hat. That's probably my fault, since this hat didn't come in the 2X size I probably should wear. I'm right on the edge between 1X and 2X. A pair of simple single stitches repaired the band and it's beautiful as new. I wear this hat every time I leave the house, at least until my next order from Village Hat Shop arrives! Speaking of Village Hat Shop their service has been very nice, and my hat arrived exactly when they said it would. They even reply to my emails and questions. Lovely hat, lovely shop. |

| In one word, wonderful. This is a good looking and excellent hat. When I first received it I was a little worried because the upturned sides of the brim made me think this hat would make me look like a cowboy (NOT what I was going for) when I asked for some opinions I got: Indiana Jones (excellent), and, in the words of my aunt, a good looking movie star (awesome). I love the large size of the brim and hat. I haven't tested its water resistance but I'm sure it will be pretty good, like most things that come out of the Village Hat Shop | ||||

| A hint of "western" without having to wear a "cowboy" hat, that is built on a nice conservative C-crown fedora. The extra length front and rear brims give good visor protection in a territory "where the skies are not cloudy all day." Harrison Ford, this ain't no conservative midwest Indiana hat. | ||||

| This is really a nice fedora. I bought it to wear to a 1940s party coming up in December and it will look really sharp with my suit. The only wish I have is that it came in a gray color as well as the brown and black. I bought the black and it will look fine with my gray suit but a gray fedora would have been just perfectt. | ||||
