I recently took over a patrol squad in a police department that is suffering from a bad morale problem. In an effort to boost morale and establish a feeling of comradery among the squad, I purchased the star beret for all the members my squad. They obviously are not allowed to wear them while in uniform, but while in civilian attire to and from work, when we get together outside of work, etc. The guys loved the concept and the berets. They were a big hit. A couple of administartors in the department, who just don't get it, flipped out and started an investigation, at one point asking me if I was a communist. Ironically, I wear an American flag pin on my chest everday, and have done so since 9/11. The guys responded by posting pictures of celebrities in berets, taking pictures of their kids wearing them, etc. As a result my guys are already banded together. Mission accomplished. |

| This is the only beret i could find on the internet that is like this. It is a good buy because it is 100% wool felt. | ||||
