Impressive head cover (5/5) Dec 29, 2007 Sam Horak Bayport Mi US
I got this helmet for my son. He was impressed with the qulality and fit. I'm sure he will test the durability of it as well!
Excellent! (5/5) Jan 28, 2008 Jocelyn Smith Vancouver Br CA
I ordered one of these Indian pith helmets out of curiosity as much as for any other reason. I'm so pleased with it that I've ordered one for my husband and three more for myself (one to keep at work, one to keep in the car, one to keep at home, and one just for the pleasure of owning four!)

The helmets are remarkably lightweight and comfortable. The adjustable headband works perfectly and the helmet does an excellent job of shielding against harsh sunlight. Everybody who has seen mine has commented positively and everybody wants to know where I got it. I heartily recommend these. An added benefit is that they suit everyone: everyone who has tried mine looks good.
A regular part of my wardrobe (5/5) Jun 3, 2008 Mario Palo Alto CA US
I got this about a year ago and now can't imagine life without it. I spend a lot of time outside and this has done an excellent job of protecting from both sun and rain.

I actually didn't know what the chinstrap was until I read the other reviews, but I can't imagine it would function particularly well in that regard. It does serve well aesthetically though! Also, as has been previously mentioned, the adjustable headband does an excellent job of keeping it in place, even when biking in windy weather (if you're as irresponsible as I am)

One thing to keep in mind though if you're planning on getting one, is if you're planning on soaking it (which can be a life-saver on particularly hot days) it does get softer, so you should be careful if you don't want to dent it.
Blast from the past!! (5/5) Jul 9, 2008 Rob Burnett Viewtown Va US
I have a photograph in my office of my father in India in 1935 when he was a pilot with The Royal Air Force. He is wearing his Pith helmet as he alights from a Wapiti bi-plane after an operational sortie over Waziristan.
Finding your company encouraged me to order a Pith helmet and I absolutely love it. In fact I am encorporating it as part of my uniform for my Organic Vegetable Gardenscape business.
A great product and I shall be ordering more as my staff numbers increase.
My favorite hat (5/5) Jul 30, 2008 Karl Hopewell Junction NY US
I love my pith helmet - it is comfortable and just looks cool. I bought it originally to be a part of a steampunk costume but find myself wearing whenever I can.

The Village Hat Shop was fast and professional and the hat came very well protected in a box that was also set up to allow easy returns if necessary.

Pith Helmet (5/5) Apr 28, 2009 Madeline McGehee New Delhi IN
I purchased three of these hats as part of a costume for a photo shoot I'm doing in Delhi that focuses on the British Raj Era. These hats are fantastic! They look great and are extremely comfortable. I'm sure I'll be wearing them well after the shoot is done.
This hat was the highlight of our Show! (5/5) May 29, 2009 Debra Kramerage Bellevue NE US
We decided to have a "jungle" theme for our booth at a trade show in Vegas and we ordered these hats and had orange safari shirts and cargo shorts to complete the costume. The hats were a HUGE hit and we had several people wanting to know where we got them. We bought a few extra for the owner of the company and I now wish we had bought more... everyone asks about them and several people have offered to pay for one out of their own pocket. I send them all to the website. :)
The quality was perfect and the delivery was spot on. I was very impressed and would HIGHLY recommend the company and these hats to anyone.
Great Fun (5/5) Jun 15, 2009 Don Gray
My little sister loves the pith helmet I gave her. It has been used as a part of her character in the play Caged Birds at Evergreen and she'll be wearing it all summer at her booth in the Oregon Country Fair.
Perfect for the beach (5/5) Jun 28, 2009 Bob Hightower Oak Ridge Te US
I love this hat! I had it at the beach in the broiling sun and it was the perfect type of a hat. Shade over eyes and neck, and air-cooled! The style and workmanship brought a lot of curious comments on where I got it.
