| Generous Hat (5/5) | Nov 16, 2007 | Dennis Recio, SJ | San Francisco CA US | |
| Having purchased the Grey Herringbone Big Apple Cap, I have found myself enjoying this cap on various occasions. It is a full, generous cap as the description states but it is not silly. This cap is worn best with long trenchcoats for when one takes walks, preferably in cooler weather. I think of Forster's Howards' End. A reasonable price for a fine cap. | ||||

| I love this cap as do many of my fellow Model A Ford Club members. I love wearing it when I drive my antique car. I get lots of comments. I now have a couple to give to my freinds. | ||||
| apple cap (5/5) | Dec 13, 2007 | RONNIE KAYE | OKLAHOMA CITY OK | |
| MY GIRLFRIEND BOUGHT ME THIS HAT FOR CHRISTMAS AND I LOVE IT. I'VE TRIED ALL THE OTHER SO CALLED IRISH HATS BUT THIS ONE WAS THE ONE I WAS LOOKING FOR ALL ALONG. IT'S VERY FLATTERING AND SEEMS TO TAKE ABOUT 20 YEARS OFF MY AGE OR (AT LEAST IN MY OWN MIND AND I GUESS THAT IS ALL THAT COUNTS. THANKS VILLAGE HAT FOR YOUR GREAT SERVICE AND WONDERFUL PRODUCT. | ||||

| I love the cap, you can play with it & reshape the bill. I started with the brown one & got a lot of favorable comments. I bought a second one(black). and one for a friend, a hat guy, and he loves it. | ||||
| Great skelly cap (5/5) | Jan 19, 2008 | Brian | rotonda west Fl US | |
| This is one great cap, brings back the days when I was a kid in Boston, we called this type of cap a Skelly. The longshoremen wore them | ||||
| interesting, but not for me... (3/5) | Feb 5, 2008 | Jon | Denver CO US | |
| I bought this hat without realizing how large it actually is! I just don't want a hat that makes me feel like a mushroom. However, prior to returning it I showed it to my girlfirend and asked her if she liked it. Well, she did! So, while this hat is not for me it is still a quality hat that is great for a woman out on the town or even for a cool Halloween costume. | ||||
| Big Apple (3/5) | Feb 5, 2008 | James Rice | Terre Haute IN US | |
| I truly enjoy the style of the hat. However on the down side this hat is rated that one size fits all.....not the case, I worn this hat everyday for a week and it still doesn't fit comfortably. Had to put this hat on the rack because of the size. It fits too tight. Maybe I'll try the 8/4 herringbone as it comes in sizes. | ||||

I have worn a big apple cap for the past 17 years. However, it can hardly be called a "cap" now a' days after the many years of abuse my life of hopping freight trains and standing in soup lines had dished out. Now that it seems another depression is heading our way I thought I'd cover myself with my favorite style of cap! I came here today broken hearted to find that it had been discounted. For god sakes why not nix the tie die mad hatter Rasta mop top, the 8 foot tall Lincoln stove pipe, or the famous Shamus green derby? Why oh why? Bring this hat back or send me news that you have a few in a box somewhere in Okemah, Oklahoma or on a hat rack in Tangiers. I will even buy the hat of the head of the receptionist that answers your telephone. All the “royal” best, Boxcar Bill Mr. Rice… If you read this I’ll buy the hat you no longer ware! |
