| Jaxon Corduroy Spitfire (5/5) | Apr 9, 2011 | Jay | Denver Co US | |
| This is essentially a newsboy cap with a slightly longer, snapless visor. This means a bit more shade for your eyes on fair days, less snow in your eyes or on your glasses on inclement days. A very attractive style, nice fabric, good construction, properly snug fit so that it doesn't blow off in a wind. I like this cap very much and wish it were available in spring/summer fabrics. If you're partial to the newsboy style, this variation should please you as well. | ||||
| A great spitfire for $15-17 (5/5) | Feb 28, 2012 | LagoonCrow | Bay Area CA | |
| Snapless bill. Very comfortable. Corduroy really works, and I've already got compliments. Not as warm as leather. And yes, it runs large. Like Jay, I wear XL, and this fits notably looser than my leather XL spitfire of another make. Also, this hat is a bit bigger/looser in the body. If you pull it all the way back, it hints strongly at Leonardo DiCaprio's cap in "Gangs of New York," but not quite so. Pull it all the way forward, and it strongly resembles a Wale newsboy. So it's versatile. Note that this is 100% cotton, so it shrinks very slightly with a hot water soaking (not the bill) and high-heat dry. The brown matches my vertical bass guitar (stage band application in my case). Great deal for $15 or so. Would definitely buy again. | ||||

| I often get compliments when wearing this hat. People compliment me on the hat and I direct them to Village Hat Shop. I had a brown one for years and wore it so much that it got faded in the sun. It took years for this to happen. I love this hat! I bought a black corduroy spitfire to replace it since the brown was out of stock. I measured my head very well, I thought. The hat could be 3/4 to 1 inch small in diameter from what the size chart said would fit me. I chose a large. I have a smaller size head but I put all my hair into it. All in all I love this hat, both in brown and black. I wear them dressed up or dressed down, pants or skirts. I wore it to an upscale restaurant and got compliments. Believe me, corduroy is so versatile. | ||||

| An attractive distinct style with good quality. I should note that while I normally wear an x-large size in hats, this one in this size fit very loosely. Perhaps one size smaller would have been a better fit in this style. | ||||
| So thrilled! (4/5) | Nov 11, 2012 | Andrea | Hamilton On CA | |
| I got my Jaxon Corduroy Spitfire in the mail one week after ordering it. I was so anxious when I opened the package. But my anxiety quickly vanished when I saw that the hat looked exactly like the picture...and it fit my XXL head. You have no idea how thrilling it is for me to find a chic hat that fits. It was only a tad snug on my 25 1/2" head, but in no way uncomfortable and I'm sure it will loosen up the more I wear it. The material is durable and the stitching clean and precise. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! Will be ordering more. | ||||
| cute hat but ... (3/5) | Oct 18, 2012 | Perfer not to list name | New York City NY US | |
| Cute hat, nice color and fabric, but yes, it does run big. I changed my order from a large to a medium, but my biggest complaint is the ribbon that goes around the inside is too rough. Every time I pull the hat on or off I can feel it rubbing and irritating the skin on my forehead. A nice silky smooth inside would have been really perfect, now I sort of avoid wearing it too much. Maybe my skin is very tender .... | ||||
