| This is truly a fine product and a useful one at that. It's a shame Sherlock Holmes had to wear one or they'd probably be a lot more popular. It keeps the wind off the back of your neck and is exceptionally warm and the price is great, I'd pay twice as much (but instead I bought two). | ||||

| My Daughter received her private detective's license and a celebration was in order. This was the finest, most reasonable representation of the super sleuth's symbol. She was delighted with it! | ||||
| Great Look (3/5) | Nov 13, 2008 | RICHARD DAMM | OAKLAND CA US | |
| Great look, but sizing runs a little small/not true to ordered sizing. If you want to order this hat, order one size larger than you would normally. | ||||
| Classic (5/5) | Dec 26, 2007 | Marcus S. Gegner | Gallatin Te US | |
| I love this hat! I've had more compliments wearing this hat than any other hat I own. As my title says, this hat is a classic. | ||||

I've worn deerstalker hats for decades, and this one is splendid, especially considering the price: somebody once tried to sell me a flimsy, summer-shirt-thin d.s. hat for over $60 - the cheek! The buyer will do well indeed to consider the size. L roughly corresponds to M to M+, and XL is somewhere a little over L. However, if the hat feels a bit too large, you can adjust the depth by playing with the knot of strings of the earflaps. I can't wait for the weather to get cooler, so I can start wearing the hat. |

| I originally bought this hat to wear with a knee length coat and bent stem pipe, as a Haloween costume. Now that Haloween has passed I find it makes a great hat to wear daily. I agree with the other reviews that it is very small, I usually wear a medium so I ordered a large, and it's still a bit tight. The wool does keep you warm in cool weather, not so much in actual cold (below freezing) so if you are looking for a winter hat it would be best to keep looking. The earflaps are functional, and keep the wind off the ears quite well. | ||||

| My husband is a fractography consultant - He looks at broken components and scientifically determines information relating to breakage. So, a deerstalker hat is perfect for him. I was surprised how good it looks, however, and is a practical hat in itself for everyday wear for non-detectives. The quality is good, but it runs very small. I got a size large for my husband's normally medium head, and it is still a tight fit. | ||||

| Nice, but not as warm as a wool hat should be. Rather light. | ||||

Ideally, Watson...though often portrayed as wearing the deerstalker, Master Sherlock Holmes wore it only every so often...nevertheless, this hat is the finest example of Sherlockiana I've ever owned. Not only are the materials and assembly above par, but it's very friendly to the pocketbook; I have bought a deerstalker AND an Indiana Jones hat from VillageHatShop.com, and have yet to be disappointed by either the merchandise or the merchant. I will most definitely shop here again... |
