| Nice, but not as warm as a wool hat should be. Rather light. | ||||

| The hat is a great value and looks good but runs small. I debated on purchasing a small or a medium because my head size was just under a medium size as shown on the hat size chart. Unfortunately, what I really needed was a large size. | ||||

| My husband is a fractography consultant - He looks at broken components and scientifically determines information relating to breakage. So, a deerstalker hat is perfect for him. I was surprised how good it looks, however, and is a practical hat in itself for everyday wear for non-detectives. The quality is good, but it runs very small. I got a size large for my husband's normally medium head, and it is still a tight fit. | ||||

| I have paid up to $85 for imported versions of the deer stalker. This was domestic, a great price & a really great hat. It appears to need some breaking in, but for the $$ it's an excellent alternative to paying much more $$ for a hard to find import. | ||||

I searched high and low to try and find a quality deerstalker at a reasonable price, but alas to no avail! Then I found the Henschel 'Stalker'! This is the nicest deerstalker that you will be able to find anywhere and at a very reasonable price. No I don't work for the Village Hat Shop, what I am is a very happy, very satisfied customer. I love my Henschel deerstalker and will be coming back for more hats in future. Thank you Village Hat Shop! Love your prices and your selection!! |

| Holmes, of Course! (5/5) | Dec 3, 2007 | Dale Harris | Atkins Vi US | |
| I sadly misjudged my head size, so the hat is a tad small (I needed a large not a medium!), but I love the hat as a valued addition to my extensive collection of Sherlock Holmes books! I have several pipes but no real Calabash, so the look is not complete, but I make a fair Holmes at that! Pipe is just for show, anyhoo. Don't touch tobacco! | ||||
| The Best (5/5) | Dec 6, 2007 | Tracy Lorenz | Grand Haven MI US | |
| This is truly a fine product and a useful one at that. It's a shame Sherlock Holmes had to wear one or they'd probably be a lot more popular. It keeps the wind off the back of your neck and is exceptionally warm and the price is great, I'd pay twice as much (but instead I bought two). | ||||
| Classic (5/5) | Dec 26, 2007 | Marcus S. Gegner | Gallatin Te US | |
| I love this hat! I've had more compliments wearing this hat than any other hat I own. As my title says, this hat is a classic. | ||||

| My Daughter received her private detective's license and a celebration was in order. This was the finest, most reasonable representation of the super sleuth's symbol. She was delighted with it! | ||||

Ideally, Watson...though often portrayed as wearing the deerstalker, Master Sherlock Holmes wore it only every so often...nevertheless, this hat is the finest example of Sherlockiana I've ever owned. Not only are the materials and assembly above par, but it's very friendly to the pocketbook; I have bought a deerstalker AND an Indiana Jones hat from VillageHatShop.com, and have yet to be disappointed by either the merchandise or the merchant. I will most definitely shop here again... |
