| I wear it every day along with my big black coat and the look is perfect, the function flawless. While everyone else is squinting with the sun in their face, i just tip my head and that nice wide brim saves my eyes. My only complaint was minor at best: The string on this new one was a different length than on my old hat (same style and maker) and a bit less useful, so i actually swapped the string from my old one since i actually need to use the string sometimes but usually leave it neatly stowed wrapped where the crown meets the brim. I've had it a few weeks now and its almost broken in the way i like it, it is a bit stiff out of the box but that’s the way its supposed to be; its just me that likes em abused and comfortable for the long term. All in all, it’s a really great hat. | ||||

| I wore this hat to top off my Zorro ensemble for the NYC Halloween Parade. This hat was perfect. It's lower quality than my Akubras but much higher than typical costume quality. After 5 hours of near continuous walking and dancing in warm weather I did not have any dye transfer problems as another reviewer noted. The hat is a good value and I will wear it even when I'm not in costume. | ||||

| This beautiful hat, minus the chin strap, is now starring nightly atop the head of the character Fagin, from the stage musical "Oliver!". I tried MANY other hats to capture the look of the master pickpocket Fagin, but this was the one! I'm not sure how to let others doing this production know that this hat exists - but as it's a 'problem costume piece' for that oft-done musical, finding it was a BIG relief. Alex Zohn (you'd know him if you saw him) is starring as Fagin, and he LOVES this hat. Enough said. Thanks Village Hat Shop Gang!! | ||||

| I received this hat as a Christmas present. Love the feel and it goes perfectly with my SRV Strat. By the way, the hat was recommended by Stevie's personal hat maker. How's that for an endorsement? | ||||

| I like this hat, but the black dye from the sweatband came off after wearing it only a few times! Put a better sweatband in the hat and it will be perfect. | ||||
