| I paid extra for 3 day shipping, but it took 8 days. When I complained, the response was so dismissive as to be infuriating, I was told that the day the hat shipped cannot be counted as a day, nor could Saturday. I was also not informed that December 31 was considered a holiday and UPS would not ship. So, I did not get the hat for a full 8 days, long after I needed it for a particular occasion. The customer service was absolutely inconsiderate of my needs. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. They offered no compensation at all. | ||||

| We ordered this hat as part of a Moroccan costume. Unfortunately, we were somewhat disappointed. 1)The quality was not as nice as we had expected. We had ordered a fez from another site we found online, but when it arrived, it was too small. It, however was much higher quality, with a leather band inside and a "structured lining" that gave it some stability. It was also only $9.99. Only problem, it was too small. We ordered this one because based on the measurements we found online, we thought it would fit. 2) Unfortunately, the one from Village Hat Shop did not fit either and was more expensive. | ||||

Bad crease. My Fez had a two inch vertical crease on the brim that balloons out. It distorts the cylindrical shape and makes my medium hat into a large. My Columbia beanie and pith helmets are great. Your site and service has been outstanding. |

| I have no complaints about the materials or quality of construction, but it was too tight, although I meticulously followed the measuring instructions. In this case, the head measurement was 23" which, according to the chart, would be a L. XL would have been a perfect fit. Anyway, I used steam and a sizing block, and now it fits, although the sides are no longer straight. | ||||

| A little disappointed with this purchase. In general I know that my hat size is large which is what I ordered but the fez is too small. Also I thought it would be stiffer than what it was. I'm am returning the hat only, however, because I don't want to wait for an exchange to arrive. I still think, otherwise that this is not a bad hat. | ||||

| I am a little disapointed with the crease in the hat, and also that it does not go to an double extra large b/c the extra large is too small. However overall I am pleased with it. | ||||

| I bought two: the classic maroon with black tassel, and a dark blue one with gold tassel. I ware the classic to the September Blues, Roots and BBQ Festival in Columbia, Missouri. It was quite the eye-catcher. As I was volunteering at the event and running around a lot, I put a paper towel on top of my head, under the fez. That absorbed the sweat I feared would damage the fez. The fez survived perfectly. One non-sober man mistook me for a Shriner, but it was otherwise a most enjoyable hat experience. | ||||

| Fits great and well constructed, except for the threads that keep the tassel gathered around the plastic drum. This came unravelled the first day, and I had to repair it. Otherwise , not bad for a costume hat (as Groucho Marx in "Night in Casablanca" ) | ||||

I wanted a fez for my hat collection and it turns out Village Hat Shop was a good choice for my purchase. I bought two fezzes from the Village Hat Shop; a black one with a black tassel and a maroon one, also with a black tassel. Both were high-quality felt; well-constructed and correctly sized. These are campy hats and fun to wear, but be aware that they can be offensive to some ethnic groups. |

The fez itself is very attractive and nicely made. We had a problem with the tassel beginning to come undone, but that was due to our own fez-abuse, rather than workmanship. It's a great hat. I choked upon having to spend twice as much on shipping as I did on the fez, however. The service was prompt, but $32 to ship to Canada!? Yes, it's a big box, but it weighs nothing! That's the only part of my experience that gave me reservations. I was pleased with both service and product, as well as the price of the product. But that shipping charge... Eek! |
