| FABULOUS (5/5) | May 3, 2012 | Happy in WA | ||
| These are a hit! All the style and finesse of a traditional tophat, but without the stuffy formality. These are pure attitude and fun. works great as a little "gunslinger" hat. | ||||

| Great hat, not too serious or stuffy! Wanted more for our store... :( Great steampunk look and works for old west or Victorian too. | ||||
| Good hat for roleplay (4/5) | Nov 16, 2009 | Riven Homewood | Ca | |

I ordered these hats for steampunk roleplay, and it's a great hat for that. It looks a bit squashed and not too formal, just a tiny bit funny. I think it looks like a top hat that a Victorian cabdriver might wear. Be prepared to steam and reshape it. It will probably fit right out of the box if you have a very round head, but not otherwise. I had to do some serious stretching lengthwise so that it would not pinch my forehead and bulge out on the sides. Once I did that, it fit very well. It is solid and well made, with nice heavy felt, an attractive ribbon hatband, and a leather inside band. It is a real hat, much better than the costume tophats I used to get from another source. You could probably wear it in the snow and and have it hold up quite well. |
