| Much better than anticipated. Will work well for shade and coolness. | ||||
| Great hat for a great price (5/5) | Jul 6, 2010 | Mike | Holly Springs NC US | |
| I recently decided it was time to shade my hair challenged head and wanted to also get more shade for my ears, neck, and face. This hat does a great job at shading all three and has a UPF rating as well. It is stylish and is nicely priced, well below other hats that are similar. The mesh upper section keeps the top of your head cool so it's not as hot as many other hats. The adjustable strap will keep your hat on in windy conditions or it can easily be removed and set aside when not needed. | ||||
| "Dorfman-Pacific Solarweave Aussie Breezer" (5/5) | Jun 11, 2010 | J. Statham | ||
| Love the hat. All I had hoped for in the sunny South. | ||||
| Dorfman-Pacific Solarweave Aussie (4/5) | Feb 14, 2010 | C. Schwedes | Los Angeles Ca US | |
| LOVE THE HAT! I borrowed one while out sailing and looked at the label so I could find one--voila!, I promptly received it after purchasing it online. It's stiff brim doesn't flop up or down in the breeze while sailing--'just wish the brim was a wee bit wider. 3/8" to 1/2" wider would be perfect to get enough shade. | ||||
| We both love this hat (5/5) | Jan 28, 2010 | Harriet Tomasko | Saugerties NY US | |
| My husband bought this hat at San Diego Zoo about three years ago. He says he suggested I buy one at the time, but I declined. (I don't remember that.) He let me use his hat for a 2008 trip to India and, as it turned out, I looked better in it. (I was sure of it.) And I loved that hat. As we prepared for a 2010 trip to SE Asia there was heated debate over rights to the hat. He did the research online and located and ordered the contested hat, though slightly different colors and details, which he actually prefers. We are both very happy with each of our "Dorfman-Pacific Solarweave Aussie Breezer" hats. But he still wants compensation for giving me his original hat! | ||||
| Dorfman-Pacific Solarweave Aussie Breezer (5/5) | Nov 15, 2009 | Mark Madrazo | Kingsville Tx US | |
| This is my second Dorfman-Pacific Solarweave Aussie Breezer. I found my first hat at Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin Texas. It was perfect for the super sunny hot humid weather we have in South Texas. I am the Master Gardener for the Tio and Janell Kleberg Research Park Botanical Garden in Kinsville Texas. I spend many hours in the hot sun, and believe me this hat is the Best. It's so light and breeze that sometimes I forget I'm wearing it. I find that the brim has just enough length to cover my neck and give my face good shade and opitmal viewing. It is very comfortable. The Solarweave really helps keep a coolness to my head. I do recommend it to friends and to anyone that loves a good value for their money. | ||||
| Dorfman Solarweave (4/5) | Oct 31, 2009 | Michael Shields | Glendale Az US | |
| Is an excellent hat--provides shade, protection from the sun--also allows for any breeze to give a cooling effect. Only problem I've encountered is that the cinch on the "securing string" has already broken in about one month's time. Otherwise, I am very happy. | ||||
| Great Hat (5/5) | Oct 7, 2009 | Larry Rollin | El Dorado Ca US | |
| This is my second Dorfman - Pacific hat. I left my first somewhere in the Southern California desert and had to have another. I had used it all over the world and it provided good sun protection, was cool and light. They also can be packed in a suitcase then pop right back into shape. Love this hat. | ||||
| Best Summer Hat (5/5) | Aug 13, 2009 | Emmanuel Lopez | Amarillo TX US | |

Here in Texas you need two things: a love of open spaces and a great hat! The Aussie is exactly what I needed this summer. Because of the mesh-like weaving on top, it keeps your head cool as it protects it from the wonderful but relentless Texas sun. It also looks great. This is actually my second Aussie. The first one I got three years ago in California visiting friends in Big Bear. I currently use it for garden work in my yard therefore it got a bit "worn" and not suited for "social wearing". So my new one is perfect for going out and making me look younger. Hats off to you Village Hat Shop for carrying it as you are the only internet source with good prices and selection! |

| Very comfortable (4/5) | Jul 24, 2009 | Deborah Brown | ||
| Wore this hat at Orlando during a mix of rain and sun. It helped keep both off my head and was a comfortable wear at the same time. | ||||
