| Dorfman-Pacific Solarweave Aussie (4/5) | Feb 14, 2010 | C. Schwedes | Los Angeles Ca US | |
| LOVE THE HAT! I borrowed one while out sailing and looked at the label so I could find one--voila!, I promptly received it after purchasing it online. It's stiff brim doesn't flop up or down in the breeze while sailing--'just wish the brim was a wee bit wider. 3/8" to 1/2" wider would be perfect to get enough shade. | ||||
| A good hat for the price (4/5) | Oct 19, 2007 | Dave Kisor | Riverside CA US | |
| After wearing boonie hats for a while (aging Naval Veteran that I am), I've taken to more of a rigid brimmed hat. It's light and the ventilation is the perfect way to keep a cool head. I like it. | ||||
| Very comfortable (4/5) | Jul 24, 2009 | Deborah Brown | ||
| Wore this hat at Orlando during a mix of rain and sun. It helped keep both off my head and was a comfortable wear at the same time. | ||||
| Great Hat (4/5) | Jul 5, 2008 | Deborah Hicks | Trinity AL US | |
| The Dorfman-Pacific hats are great. The quality is good. The Solarweave has a cotton underbrim, which is slightly heavier than I perfer. D-P makes a version of the same hat in 100% Nylon that is super light, water resistant, and looks almost identical. | ||||
| In Love (5/5) | Dec 28, 2007 | Donald Barrett | St. Clair Shores Mi US | |
| After trying several hats for summer wear I discovered this one. I'm in love. This hat is easy to care for and light enough that my head doesn't get too hot in summer. | ||||

Here in Texas you need two things: a love of open spaces and a great hat! The Aussie is exactly what I needed this summer. Because of the mesh-like weaving on top, it keeps your head cool as it protects it from the wonderful but relentless Texas sun. It also looks great. This is actually my second Aussie. The first one I got three years ago in California visiting friends in Big Bear. I currently use it for garden work in my yard therefore it got a bit "worn" and not suited for "social wearing". So my new one is perfect for going out and making me look younger. Hats off to you Village Hat Shop for carrying it as you are the only internet source with good prices and selection! |

| We both love this hat (5/5) | Jan 28, 2010 | Harriet Tomasko | Saugerties NY US | |
| My husband bought this hat at San Diego Zoo about three years ago. He says he suggested I buy one at the time, but I declined. (I don't remember that.) He let me use his hat for a 2008 trip to India and, as it turned out, I looked better in it. (I was sure of it.) And I loved that hat. As we prepared for a 2010 trip to SE Asia there was heated debate over rights to the hat. He did the research online and located and ordered the contested hat, though slightly different colors and details, which he actually prefers. We are both very happy with each of our "Dorfman-Pacific Solarweave Aussie Breezer" hats. But he still wants compensation for giving me his original hat! | ||||

Great hat!!! I bought this to wear to automotive events, like Auto Fair at Charlotte Motor Speedway where I'm walking around in the hot sun all day. I usually wear a baseball cap to such events, but I bought this because of the mesh crown and the wide brim to shade my face and ears. After walking around for four hours in the hot sun I was far less tired, which I attributed to the mess sides of the crown of the hat. Excellent hat! I would recommend it to anyone who has to be, or chooses to be, out in the hot sun. |
