| This was a great hat find. My husband has extremely sensitive skin and AK lesions and cannot be in the sun without tons of sunscreen which he hates. He has been wearing baseball hats with a bandanna underneath hanging over his ears to protect himself. This is a much more acceptable solution to protect his skin while working in the yard. | ||||

| I purchased this hat primarily to protect the back of my neck in that area just above the collar where the sun always seems to find. The large brim and neck flap do just that! Now I have 360 degree protection from the sun. My only suggestion would be to make the cord stowable under the neck flap so it would not get in the way when not needed. Otherwise, I'm very satisfied with my hat, Thanks! | ||||

| I purchased this for my husband because of his extreme sun sensitivity. This is the first year he was able to keep his face completely out of the sun. He wears it faithfully because he doesn't need sunscreen which was always getting into his eyes. Because of this hat he has needed far less treatment from the dermatologist. I was very happy to find a hat with the long back flat to cover his neck. | ||||

| I have very sensitive skin and a 1.3 acre lawn to mow. Between the sun and wind (I live near the crest of a hill where a breeze of less than 10 mph is considered a calm day). I love my straw Aussie hat, but it does not protect the back of the neck and shoulders from the sun. This hat is the answer. Not only does the back flap protect my neck and back, but the vents keep my head from cooking, and the chin strap keeps it securely in place. Great hat. | ||||

I have bought 2 other hats from Village Hats and both hats and shipping were great. My Wife was looking forward to this hat for our trip to the Southwest. I was dissappointed to find 2 grease smudges on the brim of this hat when I received it. We did however find this same brand at REI coop so we have it in time for our Grand Canyon Trip. As For the Hat itself I cannot rate at this time. I would not hesitate in ordering from Village Hats again. I think this was just a one off experience. |
