| Awsome hat. (5/5) | Dec 28, 2007 | John Page | Plain City Ut US | |

Today more than ever, you should be protecting yourself from the Suns damaging rays. I spend almost all of my time outdoors, whether it be workin or floating down one of my favorite "riverz". The "Riverz Scout" fits the bill for Sun protection with it's very wide brim, it is light weight and has good ventilation. On very hot days don't be afraid to dunk it in the river for added cooling. The hat is very durable too ("Techstraw"), I have washed the sweat out of mine a few times with a wash mit and light soap, let it dry and it is good as new, also retains it's shape. This is the most stylish hat around today, wait a minute why am I telling everyone this? If the word gets out then everyone is gonna be wearing one. Please disregard everything mentioned above!!! J/K very awsome hat. |

| Brim too weak (3/5) | Jan 22, 2009 | Anonymous | ||
| For a river hat, this one could be improved by stiffing up the area where the brim meets the rest of the hat - it blows up in a strong wind. Otherwise a good concept. | ||||
| Great outdoor hat! (5/5) | May 13, 2008 | Wm. Tom Davis, OSA | San Diego or Chicago CA US | |
| They are not kidding about this terrific hat. Awesome protection from the sun; Very comfortable, light, cool, and good looking; works great in any water environment. Mine loves to go fly fishing, to the beach, for long walks in any kind of weather, plein air painting, casual strolls or hikes in the country and a good jam session anytime. Care and feeding is minimal. I recommend this coconut protector highly! | ||||
| Great! (5/5) | Jul 25, 2008 | Ray Johnson | Provo UT US | |
| This is one great hat. I usually buy a new straw hat each year but doubt I will have to buy another hat next year or for many years to come. Hat is stiff enough to withstand Wyoming wind but feels good on your head. Wide brim keeps the sun off. I am most pleased I found it | ||||
| Looks good, does it job. (4/5) | Aug 1, 2008 | Thomas Peña | Albuquerque NM US | |
| This is my second Riverz Scout hat. I am an avid fly fisherman, part-time guide and instructor at the local university. The first hat had served me well; it has been a couple of trips on carribean flats searching bonefish, high mountain streams various times looking for cutthroat trout and on the Laguna Madre casting to redfish. It wears well, looks good and gives me protection from the sun. The first hat I left in the back seat of a car and now adores the wall with a bunch of fly rods in S. Texas. The second hat is on its way with mulituble trips to fishing excursions here and shortly to other fishing destinations. | ||||
| Love it (5/5) | Dec 29, 2007 | Roland McCarter | Sequim WA US | |
| Great outdoor hat, especially for sun sensitive people like me. It isn't affected by water; it bounces back when crushed or folded. I have the Delta by the same manufacturer (more narrow brim). | ||||
| Nice hat bad sweatband (3/5) | Jan 26, 2012 | StS | Coolidge Az US | |
| I like this hat, at first it fit good but after one year the sweatband began stretching and became wrinkled, so now it irritates my forehead. Have tried several techniques to smooth out band, but looks like the only way to fix problem is to have the sweatband replaced. The straw is still in good shape after 2 years of use | ||||

| Great hat for sun protection and built in chin strap and being washable and it floats. Love the hat for sun protection. The only problem I have had the head band buckle is plastic not metal and the buckle has broken after hardly being used. | ||||
| Riverz Scout (5/5) | Jun 9, 2008 | Betsy Barker | Stamford CT US | |
| I LOVE this hat. It fits perfectly. I have a boatman friend who has owned a Riverz hat for years. His hat still looks brand new after many river trips, which is what convinced me to own one myself. | ||||
