This hat provides 360 degrees of complete sun protection. As the sun rises above the horizon, you'll be glad to be wearing this hat. This is a great hat for those who are in need of a hat due to hair loss, allergies or surgery. The hat is made from a water-resistant Supplex Nylon fabric is only 3.3 oz., so its lightweight for travel. The 180 degrees flexible solid core foam brim assures water flotation as well as protection from UVA or UVB rays. Inner sweatband keeps forehead dry. Neck flap or veil (8" long) can be raised via Velcro and the hat can be rolled and packed easily in suitcases or gear bags. The dark underbrim absorbs any reflected light. Side mesh panels provide air circulation and moisture release, but are covered to ensure complete sun protection. Elastic tensioner and adjustable strap in back allows for a custom fit. The adjustable chin cord can be used to keep the hat from flying away when on an adventure.
