AMC CERTIFIES TILLEY HATS April, 2001-Toronto
Tilley Hats received official certification of providing excellent ultraviolet protection by the AMC Cancer Research Center. The AMC certified that all Tilley Hats block 98 percent of the harmful UVA/UVB rays and deliver an Ultraviolet Protection Factor of 50+, the maximum rating given.
The sun certification rating from AMC--an independent, not-for-profit institution--covers the T1, T2, T3, T4, and T5 Tilley Hats made from 10-ounce cotton duck, and the lighter weight LT3 and LT5 made from Supplex nylon.
