The fabric and style of Tilley Hats have been certified to block 98% of harmful UVA/UVB radiation and deliver an ultraviolet protection factor(UPF) of 50+, the maximum rating given.

The Tilley Hat fabric has been tested according to ASTM D6544 and labeled to ASTM D6603. These are the highest standards for UV fabric testing. Since the Tilley Hat is guaranteed for life, it's the last sun and rain hat you may ever have to buy!
