The Zulus of southern Africa are well known for their beadwork artistry. Beadwork gifts have been part of a wider system of Zulu gift giving and symbolic communication in the process of courting, perhaps with more locally and contextually specific meanings. Widescale wearing of beadwork on festive days is part of Zulu cultural tradition. These works are used to adorn traditional Zulu headdresses. See the image for an example of how they are used. We have three of these for sale. At the drop-down menu, indicate Left Pin, Center Pin, or Right Pin.
