Roadster Fur Felt Fedora Hat

Love the hat. Even though I ordered a size down as recommended, it was still a little big but a couple of small strips of felt under the sweatband fixed that. I know it'll shrink eventually, so no biggie. Looks great.

This is a really nice hat. Looks great and well made- typical Stetson quality. After reading several reviews on this hat concerning the fit I decided not to follow the suggestion of ordering a size down and went with my usual size- 7 3/8. It fits perfectly and I’m very happy with my new Stetson.

My hat looks great. It seems to fit great also. It is my first Stetson. Villagehatshop is a great place to buy a hat.

As with my other VHS purchases, the hat shipped and was received in a timely fashion. This hat looks terrific and fits (although it says differently in the description) as expected.

This was my first hat and I love it. I was looking for a Fedora that was similar to a WWII picture I have of my grandfather wearing a similar hat. The size was spot on, the hat came well packaged, and I couldn't ask for anything more. Great , speedy service all the way around!

Very nice looking hat, i'm glad it was mentioned that these hats run large, i ordered one size down and it was still a bit loose but i will have no problem sizing it.

I just purchased the Roadster from the Village Hat Store. I could not be happier. The brim is perfect width and the fit is comfortable. The felt is substantial without being too thick. I will not buy another wool felt hat

Very comfortable and functional. Awesome hat. Pay no attention to the note on the website that says it runs large and they recommend ordering a size smaller. I did that and ended up having to exchange it. If i ordered my size from the get go, it would have been perfect. Customer service was awesome! I wear a 7 1/2 and the hat i have is true to the size.

I really like this Roadster hat, but my experience is that the hat is smaller, not bigger, than the size noted. My hat says it is 62 cm, yet it is smaller than an Akubra hat that I have that is 63 cm! So I would think in ordering this hat, you would want to order about 1/4 to 1/8" larger than what you think. I wish mine were bigger, but there was no larger size than what I got.

I had spent some time looking for the right look and fit. This hat has been perfect. I get so many compliments about how good this hat looks. I would highly recommend the Roadster Fedora.

I bought the same hat a year ago and love it!! Fits a little loose at first but is a true size when broke in a little. Holds it shape well. I had to buy a new one because I wore the last hat every day & sweat marks were beginning to show in the front. Great hat!!

Seems odd to post a positive review of a hat I returned, but here goes. The felt is thin and supple, the crease in the crown is unusual and cool, the thin brim binding is elegant. The color is medium to dark brown as others have mentioned, and I like it. It was tiny bit tight in fit, not a deal breaker. In the end, I returned it because the overall dimensions are too large for me. However, the crown and brim size are classics and will work for most - go for it. It really bugged me that I had to return it.

Great quality hat. I'm really enjoying it. Fit and finish are excellent. Village Hat Shop has excellent service. The hat was shipped quickly and was as advertised.

I ordered the Stetson "Roadster" Fedora from the Village Hat Shop in San Diego, and after exchanging the first hat because it had a defective sweat band, I was very happy with the replacement sent to me. Working outdoors, I wear a hat all the time, principally the Stetson "Open Road" popularized by President Lyndon Johnson. These cost about $200 each and last me a year or so. Therefore I was looking for a less expensive daily knockabout hat, and decided to try the "Roadster." The brim is not as wide as I like for sun protection here in Florida, but it will be fine for winter wear. The Village Hat Shop provided excellent communication and service when I needed it.

I love this hat. The fur felt is like butter and can be shaped how you like but looks great out of the box. The three dent back has a great nod to a working mans hat of the past. I love the brim the most. Wear it up, like a Fedora, or like a Safari. On par with an Akubra Stylemaster.

Not perfect but a nice Stetson. The last Stetson I bought was in the 70s and the quality is not the same. No major complaints though. According to the chart my 23"" head requires a 7-3/8 hat. It's too large but with some padding in the sweatband it fits perfectly. The leather the sweatband's made of has a shiny finish and is quite slick. The old Stetsons had a better quality leather in my opinion. One side of the sweatband the leather is wavy and not flat. This doesn't affect fit or anything. It's just another they-don't-make-em-like-they-used-to observation. There's no reason not to buy the Stetson Roadster. It's a good looking hat for sure and I've gotten a lot of compliments. Village Hat Shop shipped right away and I found a coupon code for a nice discount. Will definitely shop here again.

I love Stetson hats because of their quality and feel. I was looking for a hat that would give an Indiana Jones look with a slightly shorter brim. I was able to steam the brim down perfectly to my liking (wife said it looked good also). Really liked the color and it is fairly true to what is shown on the screen. Shipping was fast and packged very nicely.

This hat is very satisfactory. So comfortable I forget I have it on my head, and when I look in the mirror with it on I feel quite good-looking!

A well made hat; true quality in the Stetson tradition. I receive many compliments about the Roadster; a few friends are interested in buying a quality fedora, being a first time purchase in this style of hat. Customer service with Village Hat Shops are great folks to work with!

I can't believe I called the ""Roadster"" a ""Brewster"" in my review... just noticed. I must have had a brew that night... anyway, still a great hat, a great store and great people there. That Stratoliner Stetson is lookin' pretty good... hope I spelled that right. Best, Steve

I agree about the color. It is a lot darker than the picture illustrates. Not an issue for me. My size 7 was quite tight , but a day or two on the ""Hat Jack"" solved this issue. This is a top quality Stetson that looks and feels like a much more expensive hat would. One of my favorites at a GREAT price.

Well crafted, excellent quality, sits a little ""high"" on the head, and the interior crown height is somehow a little short. Its not quite a western style, but has a tinge of it, but not too much. All in all, a superior hat in an era of cheap, crushable (whose idea was that?) hats. The Roadster is breaking in nicely after about a week. I expect to be wearing this hat for the next ten years. A man finds a great hat every 3 to 5 years, I believe. I'm in love. The Stetson Brewster is my new half-decade hat and I believe I'll wear it for much longer. It's my first fur-felt and the finest hat I've owned. It's reminiscent of the short-brimmed cowboy hat you might find on Paul Newman in ""Butch Cassidy..."" and has a sense of refinement to it as well. It's more of a light chocolate brown than the color depicted in the photo, but the classic lines are so good, I'd like it in either color and would possibly purchase both.The friendly staff including Addison, Lea, Anita, Storm and Mike (and anyone I've missed) will not rush you through the process of trying on 10 hats to find the right one. They appreciate a good hat as much as you do.THe subtle silver Stetson medallion on the side as well as the Stetson box only make it more of a gift to yourself or someone else. It does have a vintage look and yet it's brand new--the best of both worlds. Thank you very much...I will be back.
